Privacy

Last updated 4 November 2026

The short version: this site doesn't use cookies or tracking pixels, it doesn't follow you around the internet, and we never sell or share data about you. We count visits anonymously so we know whether the website works.

Who we are

squishhh.com is run by No Fear Tech Ltd., a company registered in the United Kingdom. We're the data controller for this website. Contact us any time at hello@squishhh.com.

Anonymous visit statistics

When you visit, we record the page, the site that sent you (if any), any campaign tag in the link, your rough country (from your browser's language setting or our network provider), your device type, browser and screen width, and which parts of the page you scrolled to or clicked.

To count unique visitors without cookies, we combine your IP address and browser identifier with a random value that changes every day, then scramble the result so it can't be reversed. We never store your IP address. Because the random value is deleted each day, we can't recognise you on another day, and neither can anyone else. If your browser sends a "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" signal, we don't record anything.

Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used. We delete raw statistics after about 13 months.

The browser demo

When you play the demo, we record anonymous gameplay statistics: when a run starts and ends, checkpoints reached, where you died and how, and your time, beans and death count. We use these to make the game more fun (and to see which tenderiser everyone hates). If you submit a score, the name you type is shown publicly on the leaderboard, so please don't use your real full name.

Global High Scores in the game

If you choose to post scores from Squishhh!, the game creates a Jelly ID: a random player number, the nickname you pick and the flag you choose (you can pick "Planet Earth" instead of a country). Your nickname, flag, times, scores, beans, stars and splat count are shown publicly on the High Scores boards in the game. For each run we also store when it started and finished, the game version and the result, so we can catch impossible scores. We don't collect your name, email, IP address or location for this. The game keeps a secret key on your computer so nobody else can post as you; we only store a scrambled copy of it.

Please use a nickname, not your real name. The game suggests silly ones, and grown-ups can switch posting off in Options. We may hide scores or rename nicknames that are unkind or look like cheating. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running fair, friendly leaderboards. To delete your Jelly ID and scores, email us your nickname and the player number shown on your Jelly ID screen.

The Jelly Club mailing list

If you join, we store your email address, the date you joined and your rough country. We use them only to email you Squishhh! news, starting with the launch. Our lawful basis is your consent, and you can withdraw it any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email or by emailing us. We may use a reputable email service to send those emails; they process your address only on our instructions.

Buying the Founder's Edition

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe tells us your email address, country, the amount paid and whether the payment succeeded, so we can deliver your game, send you your Steam key and handle any refunds. Our lawful basis is performing our contract with you, and we keep purchase records for as long as UK tax law requires (currently six years).

Stored on your device

We don't set cookies for visitors. The site does use your browser's local storage for a few conveniences that never leave your device: your sound on/off preference, which hidden Jar Beans and achievements you've found, and the last leaderboard name you typed. Clearing your browser data removes them.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict it. Email hello@squishhh.com and we'll reply within a month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Where your data lives

Visit statistics, demo statistics, High Scores and Jelly Club emails are stored on our own server, which we manage. Stripe may process payment data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, we'll tell Jelly Club members by email.
